| Pornography and Women (News) | Most people associate pornography viewing with men. However, a study by Today's Christian Woman found that one out of six women struggle with an addiction to pornography. Pornography is dangerous because those who continually fill their heads with these images start to develop a longing for object relationships instead of intimate relationships. When people start to view others as objects, relationships suffer the consequences.
Pornography is teaching women to model themselves after porn stars. Females are overwhelmed by pornographic images, leading them to believe they should align their own image with that of the porn stars. However, these women will never be truly fulfilled until they learn their design was made from the image of God. Churches need to provide females with the proper figures to model themselves after to ensure that thy do not fall into the temptations of this hyper-sexualized society.
