Pornography is all about healthy sexual expression, is a private matter, and anyone who is says otherwise is a moralistic prude. Have you heard this before?  In this livestream event, Dr. John Foubert will share original research about how pornography use effects college students attitudes, relationships, and how much they are willing to help a friend.  Tune in and increase your media literacy about the complex ways in which pornography harms college students.


About Dr. John Foubert

About Dr. John Foubert
John D. Foubert, Ph.D. earned his B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from the College of William and Mary, his M.A. in General Psychology from the University of Richmond, and his Ph.D. in College Student Personnel Administration from the University of Maryland, College Park. Dr. Foubert is National President of One In Four (http://www.oneinfourusa.org/ ) and and he serves as Associate Professor of College Student Development at Oklahoma State University.

Dr. Foubert is the author of eight books including: The Men’s and Women’s Programs: Ending Rape through Peer Education and Lessons Learned: How to Avoid the Biggest Mistakes Made by College Resident Assistants. His 32 refereed journal articles focus on the goal of bridging research and practice to promote social change. Dr. Foubert is best known for his research in the prevention of sexual violence. He also conducts research on college student development.
